The “Death by a Thousand Cuts” Campaign Against President Trump and the USA

When I wrote my book, The Devil at Our Doorstep, I included the excerpt below from Lowell Ponte’s 2004 article, How Socialist Unions Rule the Democratic Party. I included Ponte’s quote, as I felt it succinctly summarizes “Corporate Campaigns” utilized by Big Labor to pound unsuspecting employees and employers into submission in its desperate attempt to force unionize employees through Card Check. Now, these same tactics are being utilized against Donald Trump, his Administration and the people of the United States — with the goal of impeaching Trump, bringing down the USA, and turning it into a socialist / communist country!
“SEIU and its political, media, and leftwing activist allies conspire to  attack a company directly with what they call “Corporate Campaign” or the “death of a thousand cuts.” Like the Furies of Greek mythology, this cabal of attackers harasses and disrupts company activities, sends vicious emails and letters to stockholders, intimidates customers, stalks and frightens employees, files baseless lawsuits, plants false stories with media allies to smear the company’s reputation, and uses hundreds of other tactics to injure the targeted company in every way they can imagine. . . The aim of this concerted swarming attack is to bully and pressure a targeted company into signing an agreement making SEIU the representative of its employees.”
Unable to stem its continuing decline in membership through traditional elections, Big Labor resorted to Corporate Campaigns tactics of intimidation, misinformation, defamation, propaganda, political pressure, media bias and other malicious tactics. Coinciding this with attacks on the targets’ customers, advertisers, and financial supporters to defund the opponent, exert extreme pressure, and, ultimately, to force unionize employees. This is all done as a “necessary” step to stave off extinction. These tactics, which are designed to overwhelm and defeat the target, are explicitly detailed in the SEIU Training Curriculum  and  Contract Campaign Manual. Big Labor and the Far Left realize this playbook, combined with empathy from the mainstream media — and in some cases control of the mainstream media as exposed in The Devil at Our Doorstep — will result in a win over 95% of the time because most employers and employees will bow to the pressure! This is the same agenda being used against Trump and the USA today for the same reasons.
Following the publication of The Devil at My Doorstep, employees and employers from around the country submitted their own personal real-life “horror” stories based on union “campaign” tactics. These stories are relayed in the sequel The Devil at Our Doorstep. From California to Massachusetts, Michigan to Missouri, Texas to Florida, and back home again to Indiana, its pages explode with the bullying tactics, political cronyism and misuse of members’ dues used by Big Labor to achieve its goals. Stories like the one shared below continue to flow in as the silent majority share their experiences of intimidation and pressure at the hands of Big Labor!
“I thought I would send you a quick update on the “happenings” of the SEIU at our once sleepy little college Dining Services. You might remember that the SEIU won the vote last December by promising the employees the “world” and it was a very close vote. Well as of today they have still not voted on a contract but I hear they are having a meeting on May 22nd (rumor has it that is the contract vote day). I guess it would be too much to ask for them to be up front and actually post that information for all to see! There is still much separation amongst the employees and, when they do have the SEIU representative there, she still huddles “her” people into secret little talks. About four employees who were strong union supporters have either been fired for attendance or have found other jobs leaving us with a big SEIU mess! That would almost close the gap on the vote last December. I can’t believe it has been almost two years since the first SEIU recruiter started lurking in the shadows around my place of work. I don’t understand how they can operate without getting a penny in dues for two years? Wanna hear something funny? She is blaming the fact that there is so much “dissension” in the ranks for not getting all she promised in the contract! I still can’t believe this has happened and I am still just as disillusioned about voting in November.”
“I’m not sure. After 2 settlements and attorney’s fees my employer has $200,000 in completely bogus claims. Now we are just in the stage where the union idiot can come in every Wednesday and Friday and hang stuff on our walls. I finally figured out we can sign a petition against union representation so I printed one off of the internet and I have 10 signatures out of 11 employees. Now I don’t know what to do with it. My boss is terrified of more lawsuits. If it’s like everything else they will file lawsuits saying everyone was coerced into signing it. The NLRB isn’t interested in the truth about anything only pushing the union agenda.”
Union tactics of “death by a thousand cuts,” however, are not limited to the private sector. Big Labor’s use of this strategy was seen in the despicable and unprofessional attacks by public unions on Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, in labor’s domination of bankrupt California’s politics, and against Indiana Republicans during the Right to Work debate (see Indiana Right to Work, the Right Thing to Do!), and in their corrupt influence on the Department of Labor and National Labor Relations Board through the Obama Administration/Democratic Party, George Soros, his group ANTIFA (see Has Antifa put your city in its crosshairs for November 4th?) and Hillary Clinton and the Clinton Foundation.
Perhaps more concerning, however, is how former President Barack Obama, trained by the SEIU (see Obama and the SEIU Sittin in a Tree), is utilizing these same tactics against President Trump through his group OFA (see How Obama is scheming to sabotage Trump’s presidency and How Obama is Funding the Anti-Trump Resistance). The former President is showing his knowledge of the playbook by blasting President Trump at every turn, using accusatory rhetoric to stir anger against the current Administration.  He accuses the President of prejudice against immigrants from Mexico and Islamic countries,” of harming race relations and fostering hate, of lacking concern for health care for all by repealing Obamacare, of destroying the earth by rejecting climate change, of lacking respect for women, and attempting to rob the Middle Class through his support of a National Right to Work Law. In truth  It’s All About the Dues Money  for Big Labor (see Right to Work: A Basic American Freedom! Obama is scheduled to be in Washington soon at his shadow White House — within two miles of Trump to oversee OFA’s campaign against the President. Past President Obama, the Great Pretender, and his far leftist supporters, including Big Labor, have many things in common that should frighten all Americans:
  • They are Narcissists. They believe they are smarter than the rest of us.
  • They have no concept how Capitalism and the Free markets work. Even if they cared!
  • They utilize defamation, pressure, intimidation, misinformation, misdirection, bribery, jealousy and other malicious tactics to achieve their goals.
  • They prey upon the innocent and naïve with the promise of “Social Justice.”
  • They are hypocritical in their actions. It is always “do as I say not as I do.”
  • They will run over friend or foe to accomplish their agenda as the “ends always justify the means”.
  • They believe in redistribution of wealth as it eliminates jealousy, makes people the same and easier to control.
  • They attempt to divide the American people by race, gender and sexual preference.
  • They believe in socialism/communism/totalitarianism, a one world order, and fundamentally transforming America!
Recent events by Obama, SEIU, Big Labor, Soros and the far Left  exhibit striking parallels to the Corporate Campaigns used in the quest for control (see Union Thugs and Non-Americans Bait Citizen To Drive Forward, Mob Attacks). They have the mindset of a dictator — they crave power! They have no respect for the law or our Constitution and will do whatever they feel necessary whether legally or morally acceptable to achieve their mutual goal of total control! The scheduled November 4, 2017 ANTIFA protests across the country are the start of achieving this goal (as seen in Exposing Tyranny starting Nov 4)! These tactics are designed to isolate the target, in this case President Trump and the USA, and destroy it, just like Big Labor’s Corporate Campaigns.
Fortunately President Trump understands you cannot stand by passively and allow attacks to continue without redress. In the case of my company as detailed in The Devil at Our Doorstep, we were able to defeat the SEIU by professionally and truthfully exposing the SEIU’s tactics and uncovering the SEIU’s true character to our employees and customers.  Trump must not be afraid to link Obama with persons of questionable character like Andy Stern, George Soros,  Jeremiah Wright, and expose their agenda. Remind the American public to judge a person not by what he or she says, but by what they do and with whom they associate. After all, actions speak louder than words!
The ultimate goal of the left is to have President Trump impeached and bring down the United Sates of America’s capitalistic / free market society and turn it into a socialistic / communistic society as revealed in The Great Pretender Wants Control – Conspiracy Continues! and Obama’s  O-Cloward-Piven Strategy Is Working! It is imperative on the first anniversary of his Presidency that Donald Trump begin now to employ professional and factual tactics to educate the American Public and expose the lack of character of Obama, Soros, the SEIU, Big Labor and other far left activists if he is going to counteract the “death by a thousand cuts” and remain the 45th President of the United States of America! It is Time for growth, not democratic socialism! We as Americans need to quit being naïve, wake up and understand America, we are at War! Armageddon is at Hand! Please Wake up!  It is time to Make America Great Again by supporting President Trump!

There Should Have Been An Autopsy

Based on the Tuesday, March 29, 2016 Supreme Court decision to move forward on the Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association,  it is obvious that the Supreme Court bowed to pressure from the Administration and its big labor buddies to move up the vote/decision originally scheduled for the first week of June 2016, as chronicled in Big Labor’s Rollercoaster of Emotions  (see Supreme Court Split Preserves Some Compulsory Public-Union Dues, SCOTUS Splits 4-4 in Challenge Over Teachers Dues in Win for Union and Split U.S. Supreme Court rejects conservative challenge to union fees). The reason is abundantly clear, because due to the tied vote, the ruling automatically reverts the decision back to the California 9th Circuit Court’s decision in favor of unions. Big labor bosses don’t have to fear massive dues losses across the country and can now concentrate on providing financial and ground game support to the Democratic Party for the November 2016 Elections. The following quote puts it succinctly,  “With a divided court, thousands of public servants around the nation must still financially assist a government union that they disagree with,” as quoted by Trey Kovacs, an analyst with the Competitive Enterprise Institute.

The entire sequence of events, which began with the Supreme Court’s hearing on January 11, 2016, creates undeniable suspicion. It was apparent in January that there would be 5-4 decision in favor of Friedrichs – due to Scalia’s tie breaking vote (see Public Unions on the Precipice! and Supreme Court Appears Skeptical of Union Fees — a Potentially Major Loss for Labor Groups). Factoring in the subsequent strange and untimely death of Scalia on February 13, 2016 (barely a month after the original hearing), and now, the decision to move up the vote to a month and a half after Scalia’s passing, calls for speculation that these actions do not appear to be coincidental!

All of the details surrounding Scalia’s death seem odd, starting with the location of his passing, which occurred at the Ranch of liberal Obama supporter John Poindexter. Poindexter just happened to discover Scalia lying dead in his bed with a pillow over his head. Even more strange, is that his death was declared by natural causes and no autopsy was performed, despite the fact Texas law requires one in instances requires an autopsy when someone dies under less-than-obvious circumstances (see Suspicions Raised Because of What They Failed to Do to Supreme Court Justice Scalia).

There is no question that Scalia’s passing was a major windfall for big labor bosses and the Democratic Party in a tough Election year. Many believe that his passing was not coincidence and that it was planned (see A Nurse’s Perspective: Justice Scalia’s Death in Texas is the 21st Century Version of the Assassination of JFK). Any sensible person looking at this case would have to consider the old saying, if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck and smells like a duck it must be a duck!

Based on the timing and lack of evidence and investigation there should have been an autopsy performed by either the state of Texas or the Federal Government. Any President worth his salt would have demanded an autopsy be performed. However, an autopsy would not have been conducive to saving unions from their death spiral, which President Obama needs for his agenda as chronicled in The Great Pretender Wants Control and the Democratic Party desperately needs for financial and ground game support in the 2016 Elections.

None of this is surprising, as the Supreme Court and Chief Justice Roberts have bowed to the pressure of the Obama Administration and big labor bosses in the past as chronicled in Reprised – U.S. Supreme Court: An Opportunity to Protect Fundamental Freedoms, where the Supreme Court declined to rule on Big Labor’s Neutrality Agreement, which is big labor’s best tool to force unionize employees!  It is obvious that this Administration, the Democratic Party and union bosses are more concerned about preserving their jobs and means of power and control then living up to the U. S. Constitution, which has made this the greatest country in the history of mankind. Unfortunately, these people don’t understand how to be successful in a capitalistic society/free market society or don’t have the work ethic to survive!

This series of events highlights why there should have been an autopsy performed on Scalia and we as Americans need to wake up and realize we are war and it is worth the time to Identify The Devil at Our Doorstep who is intent on The Taking of American Freedoms! Americans must remember that the misinformation, rhetoric and intimidation tactics used by this Administration – and its trainers, big labor – are purely to gain control of America and turn this into a socialistic/communistic country and that  The Problem with Socialism is Socialism! America needs politicians, big labor bosses, and businessmen, that are transparent, ethical, moral and work for betterment of all Americans and the United States of America instead of their own agendas. Wake up America, we are at War! Armageddon is at Hand! Please Wake up!

Big Labor’s Rollercoaster of Emotions

The unfortunate and untimely passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia has Big Labor bosses and their liberal political allies cheering. Scalia would have been the decisive vote in a major Supreme Court decision affecting labor unions scheduled for this June (see Why Antonin Scalia was a jurist of colossal consequence). Justice Scalia’s influence would have impacted big labor and the union bosses, as he most likely would have voted in favor of union members in the Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association. The case involves a California teacher who claims her First Amendment rights have been violated by having to pay union dues, even though she isn’t a member of the union. This matter was further chronicled in a previous blog, Will the Supreme Court undo the damage done to the rights of millions of government workers?

Such a defeat would have been a death spiral for Public Sector Unions and most likely private sector unions as well, including their political allies. Without a replacement for Scalia, the vote could end up in a tie, considering the Supreme Court is now divided evenly — four liberal justices and four conservative justices. In the event of a tie, the decision of the lower court continues to stand.  In this case, the Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the labor unions.

Despite the fact President Obama will push for a quick replacement for Scalia, likely an extreme liberal candidate, which would tilt the Supreme Court to the left, and unions don’t technically even need this appointment, as they are currently in position to Win by Default. Unfortunately, this could also be devastating to Christian businesses in America. Without Scalia’s vote, cases involving Religious Beliefs and Christian Values may swing against such businesses due to a likely liberal selection by the President.

Big Labor’s cheering will be somewhat dampened by the news that West Virginia just voted to become the 26th Right-To-Work (RTW) State, effective July 1, 2016. West Virginia makes the fourth state to pass RTW legislation in the last 4 years –along with Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. It is obvious that the country is moving in a new direction and that there is actually a movement for National RTW Legislation. This recent development, combined with the fact that Democrats may lose the 2016 Presidential Election and continue to be the congressional minority, has the big labor bosses crying! Undoubtedly, they will be a Major Presence in the 2016 Elections, as both they and the Democratic Party face extinction if they lose this Election.

It is imperative that the American public on both sides of the aisle wake up and urge the Supreme Court liberals not to vote along party lines! We cannot allow big labor bosses and their allies — Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders and President Obama — to continue to build their socialistic/communistic agenda in an attempt to destroy the American Republic and its political system. All Americans must realize that ultimately The Great Pretender Wants Control along with the big labor bosses and far left radicals, who simply don’t know how to function in a free market republic!

I often experience flashbacks of the SEIU attacks made against my company when watching Hillary, Bernie and President Obama speak. They are using the same misguided promises, false information, lies, rhetoric and intimidation tactics the SEIU utilized when attempting to force unionize my employees, as chronicled in The Devil at Our Doorstep! It is imperative that a Supreme Court decision is not made in favor of big labor as a result of Scalia’s death, because it would Save Union Political Power at a time when our country is effectively heading towards collapse. This President and “great pretender” was trained in communist persuasion and his ultimate goal is to destroy America and establish Communism at the Highest Levels!

There is no doubt Scalia’s Death Throws a Wrench in the Bench. However, it is time for Americans from both sides of the aisle to band together, absent political persuasion, to assure that Scalia’s replacement will be one that does not represent political or socialistic/communistic ideology, but rather someone who Defends the Constitution of the United States of America and the future of this great country — as Antonin Scalia notably did for so many years.

Governor Walker Announces!

Much to the pleasure of many Americans and the chagrin of union leaders across the country, Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin finally announced his long awaited Republican candidacy for President of the Unites States! Despite the fact Governor Walker does not have a college diploma – a fact exploited by the liberal press — he is a well-spoken, intelligent and caring man that has the innate ability to speak with people of various economic, ethnic, religious, and political backgrounds, and to unite them in a common cause to make life better for all Americans.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Governor Walker and hearing him speak. Unlike some, he is very personable and when he speaks he does not need sheets of notes in front of him nor a teleprompter. He uses his hands and eyes to embrace the people to whom he is speaking and to make them feel comfortable with his style and message. Additionally, he is comfortable meeting and speaking with people on their own “turf” — whether it be in their neighborhood, their church, or another setting that is comfortable for his audience. His approach is one of honesty and compassion. Governor Walker has used this amicable style to win his first Governor’s election, a recall election orchestrated by big labor the following year, and a second term election in 2014!

Governor Scott Walker understands he has to be seen as a “President of the People” and his campaign style and governing/management abilities show he can excel in these roles, not only by winning re-elections, but taking Wisconsin from a highly indebted, union-controlled state to a debt free, citizen emboldened state. He did this by freeing the citizens from union shackles (see The Decline and Fall of Wis. Unions) and enacting policies that are good for the people and that provide them freedom of choice. However, I felt that the blog best highlighting Governor Walker as the top Republican candidate for President is Lessons from the Wisconsin Recall. The blog, refreshed below, examines Walker’s techniques and beliefs, which are much like those utilized to defeat the SEIU as chronicled in The Devil at Our Doorstep!

Big Labor took a roundhouse to the chin despite the millions of dollars in member dues spent in an attempt to recall Governor Walker. Conservatives and practical-minded Americans, however, cannot become complacent with this victory. Big Labor showed how desperate it was in orchestrating the offensive recall. Big Labor thumbed its nose at the citizens of Wisconsin and America because it could not win the first election legitimately. In doing so, it resorted to its campaign of misinformation, coercion, propaganda and intimidation to bully its way to victory. Thankfully, Americans are waking up and drawing a line in the sand with Big Labor and all who endorse or utilize these type tactics. Tactics which are uncalled for in modern America!

Interestingly, nearly a third of union members who cast votes in the recall election did so for Governor Walker as did 48 % of voters who live with union members. Additionally, teachers in Wisconsin have been showing their disdain for union tactics as polls of active teachers show that Wisconsin’s teachers positive view of the teachers unions have declined from 58% to 43% and the percentage of teachers with negative views of the unions doubled from 16% to 32%. Furthermore, the fact Wisconsin Unions Saw Ranks Drop Ahead of Recall Vote is another indicator the rank and file members continue to question Big Labor policies and voted ahead of time with their feet! Wisconsin membership in AFSCME fell from 62,818 to 28,745 over the past year. Apparently they don’t like their union dues and their union credit card fees (see Big Labor: Credit Card Profiteers) and interest utilized for political purposes, especially an unnecessary recall election.

Ultimately, What Wisconsin Means is that there is clearly opportunity for a major conservative victory in November. However, a few critical lessons must be remembered and implemented.

1.) It is the economy and we are not stupid! Fiscal Responsibility Trumped Union Power in Wisconsin. Fiscal responsibility must be trumpeted nationwide.

2.) Complacency will end in defeat. Big Labors’ Gasping Dinosaur’s are headed toward extinction. Remember, desperate people do desperate things. Expect a down and dirty fight to the finish, which must be countered with professionalism, character and ethics.

3.) The Conservatives and Tea Party countered the union foot soldiers with an effective ground game. Now it must be done nationwide.

4.) Don’t be afraid to expose the misinformation, propaganda, and coercion for what it is, and counter with common sense and the truth! The majority of people will wake up and understand.

5.) Don’t buckle to the intimidation tactics. Look the bully in the eye and smile.

6.) Don’t be afraid to expose the opposition’s agenda, socialism through the catch phrase “Social Justice”.

7.) Don’t be afraid to expose the truth about the opponents past affiliations. A person or entity’s past affiliations speak volumes.

8.) Take the offensive. The best defense is a strong offense.

9.) Use the unions/democrats misuse of members’ dues against them.

10.) Don’t buy into the ruse that the “Citizens United” case created an unfair playing field for republicans. Expose the fact that it merely evened a playing field that Big Labor had been exploiting for years at the expense of membership dues.

These lessons must be learned and implemented if The Decline of American Exceptionalism is to be reversed in November 2016! Listen closely to Governor Walker, as it is truly worth the time! We must Identify the “Devils” at Our Doorstep who are intent on Taking American Freedoms! America, we are at War! Armageddon is at Hand! Please Wake up and support the man who has the backbone to reclaim America’s greatness, Scott Walker!

The Devil at Our Doorstep: The Movie?

Recently there has been interest in producing a movie about The Devil at Our Doorstep.

The Devil at Our Doorstep is a testimonial to the opportunity provided by American capitalism to all persons — regardless of their race, sex, age, creed, social class, or ethnicity – to those self-determined persons willing to work hard and persevere. It is also a story of those possessing a socialistic ideology who will prey upon successful American entrepreneurs, and the extent they will go to interfere with the system and compromise this “American Dream!” This includes politicians and labor executives at the highest level, who will use their great resources and clout to implement a” bully market system” of intimidation, threats and misinformation to achieve their goals.

The Devil at Our Doorstep recounts how an average person succeeded in creating a prosperous company providing good jobs through hard work, integrity, common sense, determination and perseverance, only to be maliciously attacked by Big Labor in an attempt to force it to comply with its agenda. The unscrupulous labor leaders utilize “any means necessary” to accomplish their goals through the utilization of bought-and-paid-for politicians, ideological/bribed clergy, intimidated media, innocent children, radical government agencies, employee and customer intimidation, threat of financial ruin and psychological warfare in an attempt to destroy the “American Dream!”

While most major companies in the industry capitulate to the radical demands of big labor, and in the process stripped employees of their American right to a private election to determine if they wished to be represented by a union, this company decided that their only choice was to confront the threat head-on and fight back!

Ultimately, the victory – achieved in spite of the union’s “death by a thousand cuts” tactics – is a victory for all Americans who believe that America is the land of opportunity, providing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

The great basketball player Michael Jordan very succinctly summed up the opportunity for success and personal self-determination America provides for all:

“I’ve missed more than 9,000 shots in my career. I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

The Devil at Our Doorstep pulls back the curtains on the corrupt Service Employees International Union (“SEIU”) and on big labor’s agenda by utilizing stories from union members, such as “Mariam the Mighty” (still fighting today, see Occupy SEIU), and others to reveal the corruption of big labor’s use of member dues for political purposes and programs to exert control over the American way of life! Policies and programs with which the members vehemently disagree and have set the stage for support of Right-To-Work laws. It exposes the mainstream media’s support and acquiescence to Big Labor due to either philosophical agreement or fear of retaliation against their advertisers and subsequent loss of revenues, as happened with FOX News and Glenn Beck (see Glenn Beck and Republicans). It unveils the training of the current President by the SEIU (see Obama and the SEIU, Sittin’ in a Tree), and the essential support provided by big labor to the President’s socialistic agenda, including Obamacare (see Is Obamacare Redistributing Wealth to Big Labor?).

Testimonials are provided by clergy members, who originally stood with the union, but who finally woke up to the misinformation and intimidation of the SEIU; as well as from brave employees caught in the middle, who surfaced to stem the tide and help challenge the union by exposing the true purpose of the big labor bullies’ attacks. Self-Preservation by the forced unionization of employees for the sole purpose of dues money to revitalize its membership and exert political/governmental control over all Americans! These events, combined with efforts to utilize the SEIU’s own tactics professionally against them, changed the tide of the war and the once aggressive SEIU began to crawl back under its rock.

As the war escalated and moved to the final round in Washington D.C., the constitutional foundations of a true “Republic” surfaced to defeat those who would destroy American Exceptionalism. However, The Devil at Our Doorstep stands firm as a dire warning that the battle in the shadows still continues to this day.

Big Labor Racket Being Exposed

The continued reliance by big labor’s Gasping Dinosaurs on political paybacks (see Obama and the SEIU, Sittin’ in a Tree) and intimidation campaigns to force unionize employees (see Death by a Thousand Cuts and Corporate Campaigns) in an attempt to stave off extinction through increased “membership” is instead creating unintended consequences. Despite the Administration’s attempt to push their radical agenda through their enforcement agencies (most notably the pro-labor National Labor Relations Board, Department of Labor and Occupational Safety and Health Administration), as well as progressive politicians in states across the country, a groundswell of opposition across the country is building as Americans are waking up to the inevitable economic and social destruction big labor is foisting upon America.

It is apparent, as chronicled in Rank and File Union Membership Post Victories, that union members across the country are fed up with the use of their membership dues for political purposes, and with the intimidation tactics utilized by big labor bosses. Right-To-Work legislation is continuously being embraced across the country. The Addition of Two Right-To-Work states, combined with ongoing efforts to pass right to work in Oregon, Missouri and Other States, is sending a Powerful Message about how employees feel about big labor bosses.

Additionally, employees are becoming increasingly motivated to Push Back Against Big Labor’s Agenda. Recently, employees in California fought back against the SEIU, arguably the largest and most radical union in the country (see www.occupyseiu.com). This is indicative of the fact that a strong movement is underway to restore American freedoms, the economy and the American free market system.

Thankfully, it is not just union employees who are waking up, but also politicians and business people who previously embraced or succumbed to the intimidation/coercion inherent in the big labor agenda. Many cities, states and businesses facing bankruptcy and/or loss of control of their entities to the labor agenda are waking up to the fact it is time to take back America. One such group “The California Foundation for Fiscal Responsibility,” a 501.3.C comprised of both business people and politicians, is filming a documentary utilizing sources from across the country to expose the facts behind the nation’s public pension crisis and to also share my story.

I am humbled that I was asked to participate in this documentary to expose big labor as a result of my company’s four-year plus battle against the SEIU as chronicled in The Devil at Our Doorstep.

Rank and File Union Membership Post Victories!

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court (SCOTUS) issued its decision in the matter of Harris v. Quinn. In its decision not to exempt all public workers from paying union dues, it was nevertheless apparent that workers were handed a victory over unions (see Supreme Court Rules in Favor of Challengers to Union Fees, But Avoids Broad Ruling and Workers were Handed a Victory Over Unions). In a 5-4 ruling following political lines, the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed that just because home healthcare workers received Medicaid payments they were not employees of a government agency and subject to forced unionism or required to pay dues because of supposed union representation. The irony of this is that many of the home healthcare workers are independent contractors, not state workers, who have been forced to pay forced union dues because of the SEIU’s close political ties to former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich.  It could have been much worse for organized labor if SCOTUS had determined, as it should have, that no public employees should be forced to be part of the union or pay union affiliation/representation fees. Due to the narrow ruling, Big Labor was able to Dodge a Bullet with SCOTUS!

The decision of SCOTUS in Harris v. Quinn will ultimately cost the SEIU an estimated $50 Million in lost revenue. The SEIU recently took a similar hit when the Michigan legislature repealed a law similar to that in question in Harris v. Quinn (see SEIU Shows It Is Not About Employee Free Choice). The SEIU has been reaping large dues payments in states like California, as discussed in It’s All About the Dues Money. This decision will result in a significant drop in dues income, designed to line its pockets and support its political buddies. Make no mistake, this decision will have a profound affect on Big Labor’s ability to support its political allies with funds and foot soldiers in the November 2014 Election.

Monday’s ruling is only the beginning of a conundrum facing Big Labor. Rank and file members across the country are fed up with Big Labor using their dues payments for political activities with which they disagree. Throughout the month of June, disgruntled SEIU and UAW members in California and Michigan have been on a mission to have “Non Germaine Objector” (NGO) dues removed from the monthly dues being deducted from their paychecks. If successful, these reductions would decrease dues, and subsequently SEIU and UAW revenues by reportedly 35%. Brave members, such as Mariam Noujaim and Lisa Garcia, whose stories are chronicled in The Devil at Our Doorstep, and Brian Pannbecker, a cofounder of Union Conservatives, the organization responsible for the grass roots effort for Michigan become the 24th Right-To-Work State, have led the charge in these highly unionized states. Their efforts are further documented at www.occupyseiu.com and www.unionconservatives.com.

These bold actions, by responsible rank and file members of the SEIU and the UAW, as well as Harris and her band of home healthcare workers, will significantly affect the Big Labor Gasping Dinosaurs and their Symbiotic Relationship that Short Changes Americans! These brave hero’s victories will undoubtedly be evident as Administration and Big Labor Desperation Escalates prior to the 2014 Mid Term Elections.

Reprise: Buyer’s Remorse over Obamacare?

In last year’s blog, The Devil is in the Details: Buyer’s Remorse over Obamacare, Except for SEIU, Big Labor’s dissatisfaction with Obamacare was exposed. The exception being the SEIU, who was allowed to be the architect of the Affordable Care Act as repayment for its role in the President’s 2008 Election. There has been little written about labor union’s dissatisfaction with Obamacare. Big Labor’s Gasping Dinosaurs, however, have not been vocal or shown visible support of Obamacare, especially during this time when the President has proclaimed the program’s success. This success has been attributed to 8 million people having signed up — despite the fact approximately 6 million people lost their private health care and that same 8 million is no where close to the 30 million uninsured Obamacare was supposed to cover.

It now appears many of the Big Labor bosses are experiencing buyer’s remorse! As Obamacare becomes a reality, many of the unions are demanding government subsidies to remain competitive at a time when membership is at a historical low. Only 11.3% of the total workforce and 6.3% of the private sector work force are unionized. Apparently most Big Labor bosses forgot the basic fundamental premise “Caveat Empetor” – meaning “let the buyer beware” – when supporting the President’s re-election campaign and backing his signature law, Obamacare (see Some Unions Grow Wary of Health Law They Backed). Evidently those astute business people bought in to Nancy Pelosi’s famous quote, “We must pass the bill so we can find out what’s in it!” Well, that is true for most Big Labor bosses, except for those at the SEIU.

Recently big labor bosses have received a new wake up call, as those collective bargaining contracts signed before Obamacare was put into law are now expiring, and they are facing a new hurdle of deciding whether to negotiate increased health care costs due to Obamacare mandates such as dependent children must be kept on their parents health insurance until age 26 as well as increased future costs for premium plans and other mandates as chronicled in Unions, employers square off over ObamaCare costs, or to continue to press for employee wage increases as they have traditionally done. Unions, including the SEIU, representing housekeepers, transit workers, flight attendants and more are waking up to the fact that their buddy in the White House steamrolled them, just as he has in his support of climate change and rejection of the keystone pipeline (as chronicled in Obama and NLRB Continue to Cost Union Jobs).

Ironically, the SEIU was the President’s major supporter for the Democratic Presidential Nomination in 2008. In fact, Andy Stern, then President of the SEIU, made it very clear that the SEIU would not support any candidate that would not make universal health care its primary objective during the first term of office. Then Presidential candidate, Senator Barack Obama, leapt on board, knowing full well he not only needed the financial support of the largest union in the country, but also its vaunted ground game! Although his campaign was supported by the other unions, all of which also supported universal health care, the devil was in the details. When the SEIU saw an opportunity, they took it.

The difference between the SEIU and the other major players now wary of Obamacare, unions such as the Teamsters, AFL-CIO, Unite Here, The Sheet Metal Workers International, International Union of Operating Engineers and others, is that the SEIU represents a majority of unionized workers in the U.S. health care industry! The SEIU not only represents nurses, orderlies and other medical personnel at healthcare facilities, but also other important and necessary support positions at these facilities such as janitors, security personnel and food service workers. Additionally, the SEIU represents home health care workers and health insurance employees in many states (see Is Obamacare Redistributing Wealth to Big Labor?).

Universal health care was envisioned as a veritable jackpot by the SEIU as the positions mentioned previously would expand exponentially with the projected 30 million new Americans on health care, and to date, are looking at a net increase of approximately 2 million. This would have served as a means to substantially increase the SEIU’s membership and subsequent revenues from dues in a relatively short period of time. What a let down for the SEIU! Of course that bonanza also meant increased political donations and ground game foot soldiers for the President and the Democratic Party. Everyone thought the President was only pushing for Obamacare because he believed in “social justice” and cared about the millions of people who supposedly had no access to health care, but as many of the Big Labor bosses are now realizing, the “narcissist-in-chief” only cares about one person, himself!

Incidentally, it is common knowledge that very rarely were people turned down care at emergency facilities and that Medicaid was already available for those in need, obviously one of the major reasons Medicaid was insolvent. Don’t misunderstand; it is important that affordable health care be available to all Americans who wish to be covered. However, available coverage for all could have been achieved through allowing freedom of choice, and not a mandate. As for affordability, we could have accomplished this feat by removing barriers to the free market, utilizing ideas to eliminate restrictions on competition across state lines, developing legislation for tort reform and producing meaningful modifications to the immigration laws. Unfortunately, this common sense style approach does not work for the President, liberal democrats or unions like the SEIU, who all depend upon each other for survival. America can only hope the uninformed electorate wakes up before the 2014 Mid Term Elections to see that the President and his liberal supporters will run over their own supporters (i.e. union members) and will continue to run over the American people until they achieve their ultimate goal of totalitarianism.

Don’t be surprised if the President and his Administration don’t reverse field in an attempt to find a way to placate the currently disenfranchised big labor bosses before the 2014 Mid Term Elections, where maintaining a majority in the Senate is imperative to both the Administration and the big labor bosses. After all, it is vital that they keep the circular money pump in motion in order to stay in power and avoid extinction, no matter the expense to the American people, including rank and file union members. Maybe Americans will begin to feel a similar sense of buyer’s remorse and wake up to the fact this President, with his eloquent prose, will promise people what they want to obtain their vote and the next minute run over them with a steamroller. He and his major supporters like the SEIU have no ethics or integrity and only care about their socialistic agenda and ultimate survival. America, before you go to the polls this November remember, “Caveat Empetor!”

SEIU Shows It Is Not About Employee Free Choice!

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU), arguably the most ardent proponent of the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA), continues to demonstrate the hypocrisy of its true motives through its tactics and political machinations. The political maneuvering of the SEIU and its big labor brethren show that they do not have employee best interests at heart, and that their ultimate objective has nothing to do with employee free choice (see SEIU’s Insidious Tentacles). In fact, it’s the SEIU’s continued tactics, such as this past week’s fast food worker strikes that show why it is a Charade and proves once again that big labor’s Only Concern is for Dues.

Unlike past “protests,” the SEIU’s push in Fast Food Forward received little news coverage. Clearly, people around the country are waking up to the SEIU’s schemes and the truth that there are relatively few employees who are embracing its forced unionism scheme. As reported in the articles above, very few employees are participating and the majority of strikers are paid non-employees recruited to make misleading claims and intimidate fast food employers and their employees much like the Death by a Thousand Cuts tactics chronicled in The Devil at Our Doorstep.

“Death by a Thousand Cuts” is a form of psychological intimidation used by labor unions against employers. Often it involves utilizing supposed employees as pawns in an attempt to force unionize employees who are not interested in what the SEIU has to sell through Card Check. This is labor’s end game in the Fast Food Forward initiative. It is not about helping employees make more money, but rather increasing the SEIU’s membership roles., Despite the representations of big labor and its liberal supporters, the SEIU is not a knight in shining armor, but quite the opposite.

Like most unions in the country, the SEIU continues to experience loss of membership and, consequently, the loss of revenue in the form of membership dues. As a result of these losses, the SEIU and like-minded unions are resorting to the use of Corporate Campaigns against companies (as well as governments agencies and entities) in order to force unionize employees and increase flagging membership. The SEIU recently experienced such a loss as 80 percent of these forced “union members” dropped out of SEIU in Michigan. This tremendous loss of revenue is estimated at $34 Million per year (see SEIU Membership Revenues Plummet After State Ends Underhanded Scheme). Additionally, the SEIU is facing significant loss of membership/revenues in California and other parts of the country, just as the other big labor unions are experiencing similar losses.

In a desperate attempt to offset these losses, the SEIU has continued to turn to and to utilize the same tactics that have proven to be ineffective in the past (see SEIU Deploys Top-Down Organizing Tactics against California Hospitals). The SEIU is attempting to force unionize home health care workers in Illinois as chronicled in SEIU’s Hair on Fire. This despite its previous defeat of similar laws in other states — the state of Michigan, for example, just overturned the same law that allowed forced unionism of home healthcare workers.

Despite these efforts, employees across the nation are waking up to the SEIU’s motives. They are voting with their feet as verified by the lack of employee involvement in this past weeks “Fight for Fifteen,” and by home health care workers dropping out of the SEIU when provided the opportunity in Michigan. You would think the SEIU would learn that if it wants to reverse its fortunes it is going to have to develop a product that employees and employers can buy into instead of using intimidation tactics. Isn’t the definition of “insanity” to repeat the same things over and over again, with the same failed results? Maybe the SEIU should ask the question What Happens When You Give Workers a Choice? While the SEIU would not grow as a fast as it would like in order to achieve its socialistic political agenda, it would truly be serving the employees – which is supposed to be mission of the labor unions. This is not likely and employees will continue to see the SEIU’s “Persuasion of Power” and its reliance on its “Puppet” in the white House (see Obama and the SEIU, Sittin’ in a Tree) to press for regulatory means to bail them out of their desperate condition. It’s not good for the employees, but why would Big Labor start caring about them now? What we need in this country is an Employee Rights Act that would make unions accountable to members.

Desperate Dinosaurs Show True Colors… Again!

The past two weeks the big labor Gasping Dinosaurs have once again shown their true colors, proving that they will do anything to avoid extinction. They are desperate in the their attempts to find new ways to bring in money as they continue to see dwindling membership.

First, the United Steel Workers used its patented tactics of misdirection, misinformation and intimidation to unionize Northwestern University Football players, knowing this could open the door to organize thousands of members across the country. C’mon guys, now you’re going after naïve and inexperienced college athletes! I could go on and on about this, but Jim Wilson from the Labor Relations Institute (LRI) covers the issue succinctly in the following article, Northwestern Football Players Allowed to Unionize. Despite our differences in the teams we’ve chosen to root for, I believe Jim has covered all the bases regarding the attempt by this administration and the NLRB to appease big labor heading into the 2014 Midterm Elections. My take is ‘Careful What You Wish For’!

Second, the SEIU continues to utilize its organizing tactics with support from the administration and OSHA. As reported by FOX News (see Union representatives inspecting non-union businesses) and The Daily Callers, OSHA allows Unions to Now Accompany Feds On Safety Inspections At Non-Union Businesses. This type tactic is not unexpected, as it was orchestrated against my company and chronicled in The Devil at Our Doorstep, not with OSHA approval, but incorporating similar tactics including convincing naïve and misguided reporters into misrepresenting the facts to the public as contained in What do we know about janitors who clean our offices? Again this Death by a Thousand Cuts is made possible by another directive to a federal department by the President to aid his financial buddies as reported almost a year ago in OSHA Opens New Door For Big Labor.

Finally, the Michigan Teacher Unions, besieged by loss of dues revenue due to Michigan’s new RTW law, have taken bullying to a new level. When the state eliminated the “check off” clause from public collective bargaining agreements, many teachers not interested in union representation refused to send in dues checks. The teacher unions have now resorted to using collection agencies to go after those who rightfully refuse to pay. Obviously, once again, it is all about big labor bosses and not the needs or desires of the membership!

These latest stories further confirm what has been repeated time and time again. It’s All About the Dues Money and political maneuvering by the administration to assuage big labor bosses to assure their financial support and ground game for the 2014 Mid-Term Elections. The administration, with the support of its Gasping Dinosaurs, is using Government By Executive Order in an attempt to permanently change the face of American politics and orchestrating The Taking of American Freedoms while imposing a socialistic regime. America, We are at War! Armageddon is at Hand! Please Wake Up and understand The Problem with Socialism is Socialism.
